Schedule Full time – 40 hours
Job Details The Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) seeks to provide prevention for youth and families by making connections for help early and timely so that issues do not reach crisis levels or become repeating crises. It will also aid in alleviating the long‑term effects of traumatic events. The BHS will conduct a behavioral health and social needs screening on all families and will provide resource options. BHS will follow up with families and communicate outcomes with referral source. They will work with families to identify barriers to obtaining behavioral and mental health treatment and social needs resources such as access to food, transportation, and clothing, and problem‑solve to come up with alternate options when barriers are present. Collaborates with the crisis center staff on children in crisis. Links the family to appropriate resources based on identified needs and follows up with families to assure access to resources. Must have excellent communication skills to engage families, as well as our internal and community providers, and provide regular updates to school representatives. Must be extremely well organized in order to manage high referral volumes and follow‑ups. Must be able to effectively problem‑solve to address complex case needs.

Monday – Friday, no weekends or holidays
