Senior Oncology Specialist
Responsibilities
Act as the primary customer contact to provide current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of Amgen's products and effectively communicate the clinical and economic benefits of the products to medical professionals.
Create and execute on a comprehensive territory plan, which includes delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs, scheduling and following‑up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Utilize internal and external relationships to service and manage accounts, including ensuring product access, resolving or triaging reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
Craft an effective marketing strategy to aid in driving sales.
Analyze business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with District Manager.
Maintain passion for our products throughout the sales cycle while building the brand and serving patients.
Partner with other colleagues to share best practices and engage in continuous curiosity and learning.
Leverage knowledge of oncology disease states, industry, regulatory and competitive changes to deliver agreed results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or a scientific field that is not sales related.
OR associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or a scientific field that is not sales related.
OR high school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare or a scientific field that is not sales related.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in oncology.
Three or more years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries.
Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, and related specialties.
Local market knowledge.
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration.
Adaptability with core competencies: Planning and organizing; Leveraging business, industry, and technical knowledge; Communicating with impact; Driving for results; Cultivating internal and external relationships.
Salary and Benefits The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $155,195 to $179,347. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
