As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in assessing project requirements and providing accurate cost estimates for SOE, Foundation and Concrete Superstructure construction projects.
Responsibilities
Analyzing project specifications and blueprints to understand the scope of work.
Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information.
Conducting on-site visits to assess project conditions and potential challenges.
Utilizing estimating software and tools to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
Researching and obtaining quotes from suppliers for materials and services.
Evaluating labor and equipment costs based on project requirements.
Presenting and explaining estimates to internal teams and clients.
Keeping abreast of industry trends, material costs, and construction methodologies.
Participating in bid meetings and negotiations with clients.
Other ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Proven experience as an estimator in the concrete, demolition or environmental industry.
2-5 years’ experience preferred.
Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Experience using construction software, Procore, Building connected etc.
$80-$100k
depending on experience
