Oversees engineering support for departments maintaining and operating gas and/or electric transmission and distribution systems. Oversees work related to civil engineering, deep foundation analysis, structural analysis, modeling and also Alternating Current Interference, Direct Current Interference, Cathodic Protection, Atmospheric Corrosion, Casings, Internal Corrosion, Close Interval Surveys, Coupon Test Stations, or integrity management related work. Reviews the construction of investments. Creates and maintains company standards. Works closely with staff directly implementing integrity management. Oversees consulting to the larger gas and/or electric organization. Oversees multidisciplinary teams, manages external engineering consultants and delivers project safely, on schedule and within budget. Compensation

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case‑by‑case basis related to these factors. Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $167,000.00 Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $225,000.00 Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $284,000.00 Responsibilities

Develops and implements strategic direction and roadmap for civil and corrosion engineering, operations, and maintenance Ensures the civil/corrosion engineering organization is operating efficiently and effectively Leads the engineering functions and technical aspects/activities around materials and operations Leads the engineering teams supporting analysis, evaluation, repair methods and engineering strategies on towers, poles, structures and overall electric transmission structures. Additional support might be needed for access roads, grading, drainage, site development, structural steel reinforcement and/or repairs Reviews and approves engineering drawings, specifications, calculations and design packages. Leads the planning, utilization, and emergency response Recruits/selects, communicates expectations, fosters employee engagement, coaches, develops, mentors, recognizes and rewards employees in order to drive performance and results. Qualifications

Minimum

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering 8 years of relevant experience Desired

Professional Engineering license Experience in transmission line civil design, foundations and site development Financial acumen with experience managing engineering budgets NACE certified cathodic protection technologist or higher NACE certified coatings inspector Ability to create, promote and manage a safe work environment Ability to develop and manage dept. budgets, expenses, variances Ability to communicate and support company and organization policies, procedures, goals, objectives, vision and values Has knowledge and skills to develop and implement short and medium-term strategy in support of company and organizational objectives. Has knowledge and skills to develop and implement work plans in support of dept. goals that affect multiple teams or a large work unit representing multiple disciplines. Has knowledge and skills to develop operating policies and procedures; ability to monitor operations, identify and implement metrics, operational changes and improvements in support of the business. Ability to develop working relationships with customers and business partners where operations, service, support or other inter‑dependencies exist. Ability to encourage employees to identify work process and system improvements, champion and overcome resistance to and facilitate change. Has an understanding of PG&E’s business to maximize results, limit risks and effectively lead group. • Strong knowledge in the field of process technology, metallurgy, equipment design, and corrosion degradation modes. In-depth competencies an in material selection (metallic & non‑metallic materials), corrosion principles, metallurgy and welding, corrosion protection, corrosion management, pipeline inspection and maintenance, integrity of static equipment, cathodic protection and coating systems.
