As a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, person-centered, integrated services to the Portland community. You will also be part of a treatment team that provides substance abuse treatment and case management. Our team addresses all treatment needs, including crisis management, substance abuse treatment, physical health management, mental health management, DUII, and access to affordable housing, employment, and educational opportunities. REQUIREMENTS

Certification as a CADC I, II, or III Fluency in Spanish is a PLUS Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams Cultural competence, especially working with diverse populations Flexibility, resilience, and commitment to a mission-driven environment RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions Monitor client progress and adjust treatment as needed Coordinate care with other service providers (medical, mental health, social) Maintain accurate and timely documentation and meet regulatory standards Possibly supervise or mentor junior staff or peer support Use motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, and evidence-based practices Engage with clients in crisis or high-risk situations Maintain compliance with state/federal rules and confidentiality standards This description is intended to provide a snapshot of the work performed and is not designed to contain a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities, and qualifications required for the position.
