We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Sustainability Officerto coordinate our sustainability initiatives across the EMEA region and strengthen our current team. This role is pivotal in ensuring identification and compliance with emerging regulations, leading preparation for CSRD/ESG reporting, driving internal engagement, and supporting our European and global sustainability strategy.
Job Responsibilities
Sustainability Reporting
You will be a driving member of the Terumo Europe ESG reporting taskforce and lead on the GHG reporting strategy for Terumo Europe
Regulatory Watch & compliance / Industry representation
You will provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders about relevant EU and national environmental & sustainability legislation
You will facilitate internal alignment and prioritisation
You will represent Terumo Europe in some relevant industry groups
Sustainability as a Business enabler
You will maintain the company Customer-facing tools
You are the Go-to person for tender associates and commercial teams across EMEA on sustainability topics
You will support the annual Ecovadis submission
You will have an important “Customer-facing” role, interacting with key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
Stakeholder Engagement
You will develop and deliver together with the cross-functional teams engagement campaigns to raise awareness and foster a sustainability culture among associates
Profile Description
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or related field
2–5 years of experience in sustainability, ESG, or corporate responsibility, ideally within the healthcare Industry
Familiar with CSRD, GHG Protocol, GHG reporting, SBTi, and other EU sustainability legislation (including environmental legislation)
Experience with sustainability (reporting) platforms is an advantage
Clear, simple, effective and empathic communication style
Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
Able to question the way things are done and propose ways to improve (continuous improvement)
Fluent in English; other European languages (especially Dutch) are a plus
The position is preferably based in Belgium
