An entry to intermediate level management position that reports to the Senior Assistant Superintendent and or Superintendent. This role focuses on hands-on field leadership, daily maintenance execution, and crew supervision while supporting long-term agronomic, operational, and presentation standards.**Key Responsibilities**
• Assist with daily golf course maintenance operations including greens, tees, fairways, rough, bunkers, and practice facilities
• Supervise and lead maintenance staff during assigned shifts, including training, task assignment, and quality control
• Execute mowing, cultivation, spraying, irrigation, and cultural practices in accordance with agronomic plans
• Monitor turf conditions and communicate issues related to turf health, playability, and safety
• Assist with irrigation system operation, troubleshooting, and minor repairs
• Safely operate and oversee the use of golf course maintenance equipment
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, OSHA standards, and company procedures
• Assist with chemical and fertilizer applications, including calibration, record keeping, and inventory control
• Support course setup for daily play, tournaments, and special events
• Maintain accurate records related to labor, applications, and maintenance activities
• Serve as a key point of contact during assigned weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations**Qualifications**
• Associate or bachelor’s degree or certificate in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture, or related field preferred
• One to three years of golf course maintenance or turf management experience
• Valid pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain within required timeframe
• Strong work ethic with a hands-on leadership approach
• Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with a diverse team
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required**Career Development**
