You will be able to access and complete the application through “My Draft Applications” located on your Candidate Home page.**## Job Posting Title:Transient - Athletics Academic Coordinator## Position Type:Transient (Fixed Term) (Seasonal)## Department:LSUA Chancellor - Athletics (Tyler Scott Unsicker (00071869))## Work Location:LSU - Alexandria## Pay Grade:Temporary## Job Description:**General Description*** The Athletics Academic Coordinator reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for assisting in the academic operations of the department, carrying out all activities necessary to accomplish our academic objectives within the guidelines of the NAIA, Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) and Louisiana State University of Alexandria.**Primary Duties and Responsibilities*** Function as the Athletics Academic Coordinator in providing academic support and counseling with student-athletes* Implement and direct weekly department wide study halls* Supervise the Athletic Department Student workers for study hall* Work with at-risk student athletes weekly to help them stay on task and eligible* Keep track of student grades at midterms and functioning as a liaison between the athletic department and the Faculty Athletic Representative* Engage with campus academic advisors in assisting student-athletes with course registration* Attend Athletic Department and campus meetings as needed.* Perform other job-related duties as assigned**Required Minimum Qualifications*** Valid driver license* A background check will be required of the successful applicant* Bachelor’s degree**Preferred Qualifications*** Master’s degree* 1-2 years’ experience in athletic administration\*IT IS A CLASS A MISDEMEANOR TO MISREPRESENT ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS## Additional Job Description:## Competencies:None## Special Instructions:Special Instructions
