This position requires an on‑campus presence
Purpose of Position To teach, conduct research, and provide service as a member of the Department of Nursing at the University of North Dakota.
Duties & Responsibilities
40% – Teaching (may include: NURS 514: Essentials of Epidemiology; NURS 525: Multivariate Statistics; NURS 556: PhD Intensive; various undergraduate nursing courses as aligned with the candidate’s expertise)
Scholarly/creative activities in consultation with the department chair; consistent with department, college, and university expectations and policies/procedures
External funding of at least $5,000 required by five years
20% – Service to university, college, and/or department (activities in consultation with the department chair; consistent with department, college, and university expectations and policies/procedures)
Highly‑developed oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong understanding of and commitment to the profession’s values
High interest in working as part of a collaborative team
Strong commitment to collegiality
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in nursing OR doctoral degree in a related field with a master’s in nursing
Unencumbered ND nursing license or eligibility for licensure in ND
Active program of funded research
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree in nursing
DNP scholarly project advisement experience
Prior teaching experience
