Position Overview Teach and facilitate the application of nursing research theories, principles, and the research process.

Responsibilities
Conduct research principles of the course.
Correlate classroom content to the clinical setting.
Facilitate students’ achievement of course objectives and mastery of skills and competencies.
Utilize multiple teaching methods applicable to the clinical learning environment.
Serve as a nursing resource for healthcare and local agencies.
Model professionalism, cultural and linguistic diversity, and teaching ability.
Act as a role model for students in professional, social, and civic areas.
Professional Development
Evidence of continued professional development and/or certification.
Utilize feedback from student/faculty evaluations for instructional improvement.
Serve as a role model in professional and civic areas.
Research and Investigation
Utilize evidence‑based research in teaching and nursing practice.
Attend research conferences, classes, and symposiums to increase knowledge.
Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing; consideration for baccalaureate with preparation in teaching/principles in adult education.
Minimum two (calendar) years full‑time clinical nursing practice as an RN verified with the Board of Nursing.
Work or teaching experience in Nursing Research.
Current unrestricted RN license to practice in North Carolina.
Current unrestricted RN license, CTA certification, or in the process of completing CTA certification.
License and Driver Requirements
Current unrestricted RN license to practice in the state of North Carolina.
Valid US Driver's License (not required). Commercial Driver's License not required.
