Global Apparel Brand is seeking a Product Development Manager!
Overview Lead a team of apparel product developers in bringing products from concept to commercialization. Ensure timelines, cost targets and quality standards are met, while safeguarding product integrity and aligning closely with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with Marketing and Design to deliver against category and business objectives.
Drive end-to-end product development process and calendar adherence.
Research and propose new materials, technologies, and construction methods.
Oversee and negotiate product costing, ensuring alignment with target prices.
Manage information flow and handover between internal teams and external partners/suppliers.
Evaluate prototypes for fit, construction, color, trims, and overall product quality.
Ensure all materials, components, and products meet quality, safety, and testing standards.
Lead, coach, and develop the product development team to high performance.
Skills & Experience
3–5+ years of progressive experience in apparel/garment or textile product development.
First experience managing or leading a team.
Deep knowledge of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
Advanced understanding of materials, physical/wear testing, and quality requirements.
Strong costing knowledge and negotiation capability.
Ability to assess fit and provide clear technical feedback to suppliers.
Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable with change and ambiguity.
Proficient in MS Office and product data systems (e.g., PDM, CAD).
Contract Duration – 7 months with potential to extend Hybrid Work Schedule- 3 to 4 days in office
