Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant, Database Architect!

As a Database Architect, he/she would be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust, scalable, and secure database solutions that support business applications and analytics needs. This role focuses on database architecture, performance optimization, data security, and ensuring high availability across systems.

Responsibilities

Design and define enterprise‑level database architectures for OLTP, OLAP, and hybrid workloads

Develop logical and physical data models aligned with business requirements

Select appropriate database technologies (RDBMS, NoSQL, Cloud databases) based on use cases

Ensure database scalability, performance tuning, and optimization

Define data standards, naming conventions, and best practices

Implement data security, encryption, backup, and disaster recovery strategies

Collaborate with application architects, developers, and infrastructure teams

Review database designs and SQL code for quality and performance

Plan and manage database migrations, upgrades, and cloud transitions

Monitor database health and proactively address performance or capacity issues

Ensure compliance with data governance, regulatory, and audit requirements

Security and Compliance

Collaborate with the security team to ensure that database systems comply with security policies and standards.

Implement and manage access controls and encryption mechanisms as required.

Qualifications We Seek in You Minimum Qualifications

Graduate in any stream

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

Preferred to have the relevant certification in Oracle Database administration.

Preferred to have good experience on multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc.) & various DevOps tools.

Preferred to have good experience on Oracle Exadata, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, MongoDB, Cassandra and DynamoDB Databases.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is [$180,000 to $185,000]. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package plus benefits, will be determined by a number of factors which include but are not limited to the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities; geographic location; and internal equity.
