Student Onboarding Clinical Practice Director is a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who provides market-level oversight of Clinical Practice, Quality, and Performance for all Bluestone Providers in Florida.

POSITION SUMMARY Reporting to the SVP of Clinical Practice, the Clinical Practice Director works independently using effective leadership skills and collaborates closely with other clinical and market leaders to ensure partnership around provider development and practice implementation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Oversight and assurance of Clinical Quality

Ensure individual provider practice is of excellent quality

Review benchmark indicators for teams and address or escalate concerns

Assist with roll‑out of clinic‑wide initiatives and quality goals

Recruitment

Involvement in candidate selection process via interview or field shadow

Approval of APP practice model (collaborative vs team)

Involvement in team growth and build‑out

Onboarding of new Providers

Ensures completion of training process

Mentorship on practice management

Clinical evaluation in conjunction with collaborating physician

Assurance of audits and follow‑up

Management of individual Advanced Practice Providers

Periodic 1‑1 check‑ins

Assist with implementing agreed‑upon practice standards

Addresses or escalates barriers/issues and provides solutions

Annual Performance Reviews

Collaboration with Primary Care Director and Physician Lead regarding Physician Quality and adherence to Bluestone policies

Periodic 1‑1 check‑ins

Assist with implementing agreed‑upon practice standards

Addresses or escalates barriers/issues and provides solutions

Annual Performance Reviews

Owner of Market Provider meetings with Physician Lead as co‑facilitator

Periodic Market related Bluestone promotional and/or social events outside of Provider meetings

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Education/Experience

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Education program

Five (5) or more years of practice experience

Must have proven ability and desire to be a leader within the Bluestone provider group

Experience in former leadership roles preferred, but not required

Proven ability to communicate effectively with strong verbal and written skills

Must have a valid driver’s license and minimum state required liability auto insurance

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Exhibits strong leadership, collaboration and advisory skills

Solid business acumen and understanding of business operations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to think strategically and exhibit sound decision making

Functions well in a results‑oriented and dynamic environment

Intermediate-level computer proficiency including Google Docs and equipment such as Laptop, iPad and iPhone

Demonstrated compatibility with Bluestone's mission and operating philosophies

Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand English language

Working Conditions

Work Environment – This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, tablets, phones and copiers.

Physical Demands – This is primarily a sedentary role working indoors; however, some walking is required. The position would require the ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and bend or stand as necessary.

Up to 50‑75% travel within the prescribed market.
