• Greet, assess and interview patients
• Obtain past medical and surgical history, family history, social history, vital signs
• Review present medications, allergy history, chief complaint
• Prepare and assist patients for examination, treatment, or procedure by provider
• Anticipate needs of patients, and the provider
• Monitoring of patient during examination, or procedure
• Maintain and update level of skill for pertinent paramedic duties
• Maintain patient care areas
• Stocking and ordering of supplies as needed, and maintaining clean exam rooms
• Charge and code supplies, medications, and procedures
• Respond to patient's concerns in person or by telephone while simultaneously documenting the problem
• Maintains patient confidentiality
•Administers medications and IVs per physician’s orders
• Perform a variety of preliminary procedures, including phlebotomy, injections, throat cultures and more**JOB REQUIREMENTS****Required Certification**EMT-P Current Massachusetts Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Licensure**Preferred Certifications**BLS – Basic Life Support**Required additional Knowledge and Abilities**
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Team Player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment**Schedule and Location** vary weekly, including rotating weekends and holidays.
