This includes maintaining and nurturing good rapport with medical staff and other UAMS employees.* Performs some of the human resource management, including recruitment & retention, analyzing staff mix and deploying staff, ensuring competency of staff through development and regular evaluation, and providing disciplinary counseling.* Promotes and nurtures team building and career growth to maximize productivity and job satisfaction. This includes the willingness and ability to perform clinical work with direct reports when appropriate.* Ensure customer satisfaction by analyzing customer complaints, concerns, and suggestions, and providing appropriate follow-through.* Monitors the operating budget; collaborates with supply chain to maintain proper stock levels, reviews and reports significant variances; works with coders to maximize reimbursement and assure appropriate billing practices; develops and promotes measures to stay within budget.* Plans and organizes staff & facilities to meet patient needs.* Provides leadership training on all new technologies.* Evaluates the quality of images, procedures, and services.* Ensure cost-effective operations and value to the patient.* Ensures all regulatory requirements are met, including State, Federal, & Joint Commission requirements.* Other duties and special projects as assigned by the Administrative Director and/or the Assistant Director.At the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), we are looking for health care and non-health care professionals who believe in excellence as a way of life.
