Location: The C. W. Williams Community Health Center, Inc. is seeking an OB/GYN Certified Nurse/Midwife (CNM) to join our team! The OB/GYN Certified Nurse/Midwife (CNM) is responsible for assisting patients served through the Mobile Maternal Health program.
The CNM supports the OB/GYN provider through integrated approach to maternal health care and serving directly in locally designated communities with the focus on providing care to low-risk pregnancies; delivery of babies; provide family planning education; manage gynecological and obstetric care; may substitute for obstetricians/gynecologists in prenatal and postnatal care; facilitate Birthing and Lactation group trainings, as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provide care to low-risk pregnancies.
Deliver babies.
Provide family planning education.
Manage gynecological and obstetric care.
Can substitute for obstetricians/gynecologists in prenatal and postnatal care.
Facilitate Birthing and Lactation group trainings, as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
License to practice as a Registered Nurse required.
Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and approved to practice as a Nurse Midwife in the state of NC.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider from AHA required.
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certified.
Minimum 1 year as a CNM or 5 years’ experience in labor and delivery.
