Overview Montech Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate to provide Heating, Ventilation, and Air Condition (HVAC) support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The
HVAC Technician
will be responsible for installing, recognizing the cause of faulty equipment, and repairing, modifying, and relocating equipment on various special-purpose air conditioning units and systems.
General Responsibilities The HVAC Technician shall:
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules of HVAC systems, consistent with manufacturers’ recommendations and industry best practices.
Install, operate, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including refrigeration components.
Diagnose and repair electronic, pneumatic, and digital control systems (Direct Digital Controls, Energy Monitoring and Control Systems).
Conduct seasonal start-up and shut-down of boilers, chillers, air handling units, and variable air volume systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on hydronic, air distribution, and HVAC chemical treatment systems.
Monitor and adjust building automation systems to meet operational requirements.
Maintain records in CMMS and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Perform other duties related to maintenance and operations of facilities systems.
Respond to after-hours emergencies and perform on-call duties.
Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience at positions of similar context and complexity as this one.
Experience with complex HVAC systems, EMCS/DDC controls, and healthcare facilities preferred.
Familiarity with NFPA 99, ASHRAE standards, and OSHA requirements.
Will have knowledge of the construction characteristics of a variety of types and models of systems designed to reach and maintain critical and extreme conditions under various circumstances.
Handle and carry tools, equipment, and testing devices that can up to 50 pounds.
Must hold a valid state driver’s license.
Security Employment is contingent upon the ability to pass the pre-employment drug test and a federal security investigation (background check) in order to obtain a U.S. Department Health and Human Services Public Trust clearance prior to start date. The background investigation reviews employment, criminal, financial, and personal history to ensure there are no outstanding violations.
