Sign‑on Bonus Signing bonus: $2,500 for limited permit, $7,500 for full licensure.

Differential Pay As a Clinician for Mobile Crisis, you will provide crisis risk assessments with a diagnosis (with appropriate supervisory approval, per scope of practice), crisis stabilization, de‑escalation techniques, and follow‑up services to clients experiencing emotional, behavioral, or psychiatric crises. These interventions are delivered by telephone and on‑site mobile visits, using a strength‑based, trauma‑informed, systems‑oriented perspective. You will develop crisis prevention and safety plans, evaluate their effectiveness, coordinate care with existing treatment providers, and link clients to community‑based resources.

Responsibilities

Provide rapid response to adults, children, adolescents, and families in crisis by phone and on‑site within the community.

Conduct risk assessments with a diagnosis (with supervisory approval), mental status examinations, and substance abuse screening.

Analyze information to create action plans, including crisis stabilization, safety, and prevention plans, and coordinate follow‑up.

Coordinate referrals for mental health treatment and substance abuse assessment and treatment through community resources.

Provide short‑term crisis intervention and stabilization services in homes or community settings.

Participate in an acute care emergency services rotation system, ensuring coverage during holidays and weekends.

Schedule & Shift

Full‑time: 5 days a week with 8‑hour shifts or 4 days a week with 10‑hour shifts.

Weekend and holiday shifts: When scheduled for a weekend shift, the week will consist of five 8‑hour shifts.

Requirements and Education

Master’s degree (MSW/MHC) and two years of related experience.

LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW‑R, MHC–LP, or MSW‑LP licensure required.

MSW‑LP holders must be license‑eligible and willing to apply for a limited permit upon hire.

MHC–LP holders must already have obtained their limited permit and be close to completing required clinical hours.

Willingness to pass and obtain licensure within three months of hire.

Valid NYS driver’s license; willingness to travel to clients’ homes and communities under varied circumstances and weather conditions.

Willingness to work in diverse settings, including homes and community locations with pets, cigarette smoke, and other irritants.

Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required.
