Role Description This part-time on-site role of Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer is based in Columbia, SC. Responsibilities include providing injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation services to student-athletes at a variety of clinical sites including D1 athletics, small colleges, performing arts, physician practice, and high school. The role also involves collaborating with other medical professionals to ensure the well-being of athletes, serving as a preceptor and maintaining accurate medical records. The candidate will assist in practices, games, and other athletic events as assigned while adhering to the university's policies and regulatory guidelines. Additional opportunities for income are available.
Qualifications
Current certification as an Athletic Trainer (or eligibility for certification) with licensure in South Carolina.
BS or MS degree in Athletic Training or a related field; enrollment in a graduate program at the University of South Carolina is required. We offer 2 online specialty certificates.
CPR and First Aid certification is required.
