Wieser is seeking a competent, experienced, metal fabrication shop supervisor to oversee our team of fabricators and ensure all company standards and safety procedures are met. The successful candidate will have a strong background in leadership, metal fabrication and a keen eye for safety and detail.

Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and mentor staff in metal fabrication practices
Enforce all safety procedures and protocols within the shop
Plan, schedule, and coordinate employee schedules and projects to ensure timely completion
Inspect finished projects for quality and adherence to specifications
Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations
Maintain inventory and order materials as needed
Qualifications
3 to 5 years as a metal fabrication shop supervisor or similar role
5 to 10 years with direct experience of metal fabrication techniques and safety protocols
Strong commitment to training and workplace safety practices
High school diploma or equivalent, post secondary education preferred
Physical abilities to handle heavy equipment, stand for prolonged periods and perform manual tasks when required.
Skills
Material ordering and management
Ability to operate and maintain fabrication equipment (shears, brakes, welders, torches)
Ability to read blueprints/drawings
Basic understanding of AutoCAD software
Strong leadership, communication and team management skills
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical documents
Knowledge of industry standards and quality control measures
Strong problem-solving abilities
