Job Description Summary
The Division of Pulmonology, Allergy and Immunology, in the Dr. Charles P. Darby Jr. Department of Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible allergist/immunologist to join our faculty on the clinician‑educator track. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience. The successful applicant will help us expand our comprehensive allergy and immunology services within the MUSC Children’s Health System.
Responsibilities Primary outpatient care for children and adults, along with inpatient pediatric allergy and immunology consult service. In the coming years, we plan to offer an Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Training Program. Potential growth areas include multispecialty clinics in drug allergy, oral immunotherapy, severe asthma, severe eczema, immune dysregulation, and solid organ transplant. In addition to clinical duties, responsibilities include teaching fellows, residents, and medical students. Pursuing individual scholarly interests is encouraged and supported.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Commitment to MUSC’s educational missions.
Eligible for licensure in South Carolina.
Strong interest in working with both typical and medically complex children.
