Overview
As a Critical Care Paramedic (CCP), you'll provide advanced inter-facility transport for critically ill or injured patients, often working alongside critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, or other advanced practitioners to deliver ICU-level care during transport. Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive critical care during patient transport, including ventilator management, advanced airway maintenance, IV medication administration, infusion therapies, and cardiac monitoring. Use and management of cardiac monitors, ventilators, and IV pumps. Collaborate with critical care nurses and online medical control physicians to develop and execute patient care plans. Maintain unit readiness, including cleanliness and supply levels for critical care transports. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Paramedic program mandatory. Active Illinois Paramedic license. Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) certification or equivalent, if required by Illinois regulations. Valid driver’s license, EVOC, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, ITLS, NRP.
