Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift 3x12
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while promoting a safe and effective environment for both patients and staff. Responsibilities
Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, creating an individualized care plan. Identify patient/family teaching needs related to diagnoses in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Communicate patient information and status for timely conferences and re-evaluations. Utilize the nursing process for comprehensive patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation. Initiate discharge planning on admission and provide relevant patient education. Ensure accurate documentation of all assessments, interventions, and patient responses as per policy. Provide training and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel while delegating tasks appropriately. Foster a positive work environment and support team building activities on the unit. Maintain safety standards and report workplace hazards to promote a safe work and patient care environment. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
BLS Certification required prior to the first shift. ACLS certification required prior to the first shift (CIRH ONLY). A minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired. Schedule
