Physician Assistant / Associate-Cardiac Surgery - Cardiovascular Surgery

St. Francis-Emory Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our elite Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Columbus, GA. This is a full-time, on-site role offering the opportunity to work alongside two highly skilled surgeons and a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
Assist in surgical procedures, including endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH).
Radial artery harvesting experience is a plus but not required.
Prescribe medications and manage perioperative care.
Educate patients and families on health maintenance and recovery.
Participate in call rotation and provide high-quality, compassionate care.
Qualifications
Active PA or APRN license and board certification.
Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or Nursing (APRN).
Previous experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery preferred.
Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.
Candidates completing a Cardiothoracic Postgraduate Fellowship will be considered.
Schedule
1:3 call rotation
20 days PTO
5 days CME
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary: $160,000–$200,000 (based on experience and skill set).
