Team member must value patient confidentiality and security of medical records. Applicant must have ability to manage inpatient and discharged patients' medical records.
Requirements:
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Louisiana 1 year experience in medical records department Previous experience with an electronic medical records system in a hospital setting
Job Duties:
Maintain medical record system in compliance with federal, state and local requirements Assist with audit duties and data entry Assure that all medical records are protected and kept confidential Identify late, incomplete and inaccurate documentation and report to responsible individual for completion/correction Assemble/process admission packets and discharge records timely and accurately
