Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist role in Eugene.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor CNC machining centers and lathes during 2nd shift operations to produce precision components.
Set up machines, including installing tooling, positioning fixtures, loading programs, and verifying setup accuracy.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to machine parts to exact tolerances.
Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measurement instruments.
Adjust machine offsets, feeds, and speeds to ensure consistent part quality and efficient cycle times.
Troubleshoot machining issues, tool wear, and minor mechanical problems to minimize downtime.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance in all machining and production areas.
Collaborate with team members, engineers, and supervisors to meet nightly production goals.
Accurately document machining data, inspection results, and tool usage throughout the shift.
Assist with preventative maintenance and routine equipment cleaning.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; formal machining or manufacturing training preferred.
2+ years of CNC machining experience is preferred, but skilled candidates with less experience may be considered.
Proficiency in operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and utilize precision measurement tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods during shift hours.
Willingness to work 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
Knowledge of G-code, tooling, and machining processes is a strong plus.
