Main Purpose of Job
The main purpose of this position is to facilitate positive student responses to normal development, promote health and safety, including a healthy environment, intervene with actual and potential health problems, provide case management services, and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. Experience: None. Substitution options:
Bachelor’s degree in related field + 1 year registered nurse experience. Two years registered nurse experience. U.S. Armed Forces commissioned officer in nursing or health care specialist, converted year-for-year to required education.
Licenses, Registrations and Certifications
Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing. Valid motor vehicle operator’s license if assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle.
Special Requirements
Provide the facility with a telephone number at which they can be reached.
Selection Process
Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be evaluated. The evaluation may be a rating based on education, training and experience. Full applications must be submitted by the closing date. Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a completed application.
