Job Description
Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.
We are currently recruiting for a Clinician IV within our Mobile Crisis Response department. This position will be responsible for providing rapid response, assessment and early intervention to individuals experiencing behavioral health crisis, as well as community stabilization.
Job Duties Job Responsibilities
Provide crisis stabilization and mobile crisis response in the home and community through mobile services, and short-term crisis counseling interventions to meet the needs of individuals and/or families in the community.
Develop effective, person-centered treatment plans to maintain safety in collaboration with individuals and other MCR staff, including safety plans and crisis ISPs.
Complete diagnoses in accordance with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
Provide clinical consultation to other members on the team.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule Hours may vary based on program needs.
We are recruiting for a Full-Time position.
The hours for this position include days, evening, nights, weekends, and holidays based on program need.
Qualifications (EEO) Skills and Qualifications
Possess knowledge of crisis intervention models and theories and resources available to help individuals with serious emotional and developmental disabilities, including individuals with co-occurring disorders.
Knowledge of human rights, ethical, and legal concerns as they relate to providing clinical and residential services.
Must possess the understanding of the use of psychotropic medications, drug overdose, common medical complications that may mimic psychiatric illness.
Ability to maintain an objective, professional and calm relationship with individuals and groups in a stressful situation.
Two years of providing clinical services (required).
Previous experience providing crisis intervention (preferred).
Board approved clinical supervisor (preferred).
Valid driver’s license (required).
Master’s Degree in a human services field (required).
Must hold a valid license from the Board of Counseling or Board of Social Work (LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT, or LSATP) (required).
DMV record must be submitted with application.
