Overview New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences ( RBHS ) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant within the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine ( RSDM )-Office for Clinical Affairs.
The Dental Assistant performs chairside, deskside and sterilization duties for the Office for Clinical Affairs, assists providers during the examination and treatment of patients and dispenses dental materials and instruments. The Dental Assistant also performs clerical, sterilizing and miscellaneous tasks for clinical affairs.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Dispenses supplies and equipment to dental students at the dispensary window.
Restocks equipment and supplies.
Assists dental students at chairside.
Maintains all dental equipment in dispensary.
Exposes dental x-rays.
