We are currently looking for a full-time CMT Lab Technician to join the Bakersfield, CA office. This position is ideal for candidates interested in advancing their career in the Geotechnical and Construction Material Testing Field.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and analyzing samples of soil, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials Prepare test reports and maintain accurate documentation Operate mechanical equipment such as concrete compression testing machine, soil compaction equipment, aggregate mechanical sieving equipment, and asphalt testing apparatus Clean, maintain, and assemble laboratory equipment Track equipment usage and maintenance Load/unload samples and verify received quantities Qualifications
ACI Concrete Testing Technician certification
- (or ability to obtain) NICET CMT Certification
- (or ability to obtain) Caltrans Lab testing certification
- (preferred) AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL)
- (preferred) Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL)
- (preferred) Experience with field or laboratory testing of concrete, aggregates, soils, asphalt, and other construction materials Strong math skills Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and manage a physically demanding workload Excellent verbal and written communication skills Team-oriented, self-motivated, receptive to direction Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, and noise) Benefits & Perks
