Step into a high-impact CCU travel nursing role in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, where your critical care expertise will shape patient outcomes and drive teamwork in a fast-paced, life-saving environment. This is more than a assignment; it is an opportunity to push your clinical boundaries, mentor new clinicians, and deliver compassionate care to patients and families during their most challenging moments. In the heart of the Berkshires, you’ll find a community and outdoor escapes that bring balance to demanding shifts, from scenic trails and seasonal foliage to vibrant arts scenes and cuisine that celebrates local farms and farms-to-table dining. This role starts January 19, 2026 and is structured as a multi-week assignment designed to offer the flexibility needed for skilled CCU professionals who value breadth of experience and depth of impact. Our program also opens pathways to work in diverse locations across the United States, expanding your professional horizons while you maintain focus on critical patient care.
Massachusetts offers a compelling backdrop for healthcare professionals, with Pittsfield serving as a gateway to the famed Berkshire region. Here you’ll enjoy a blend of small-city warmth and access to nature’s playgrounds, from hiking the Taconic Mountains to enjoying cultural venues, museums, theaters, and year‑round festivals. The location provides a supportive community for traveling clinicians, excellent educational resources, and opportunities to connect with colleagues who are passionate about evidence‑based practice. Beyond Pittsfield, the role affords potential assignments in various U.S. sites through the same trusted network, letting you experience hospital cultures from coast to coast while staying rooted in your CCU specialty.
Primary Responsibilities As a CCU RN on this travel assignment, your primary responsibilities will center on delivering expert critical care to critically ill adults in the Coronary Care Unit. You’ll manage complex hemodynamics, administer advanced therapies, and collaborate closely with intensivists, perfusion teams, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and case managers. Expect to monitor invasive lines, support ventilated patients, titrate vasoactive medications, interpret arterial blood gases, and lead rounding with an emphasis on patient safety and rapid escalation when needed. You’ll play a pivotal role in family communication, goals‑of‑care discussions, and ongoing education for patients and families navigating critical illness. The role also provides ongoing professional growth: opportunities to deepen expertise in CCU protocols, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and gain exposure to emerging technologies in critical care. Extension opportunities are available for clinicians who demonstrate leadership, reliability, and a strong fit with the hospital culture.
Benefits & Compensation Competitive benefits accompany the compassion and skill you bring. Expect weekly pay in the range of $2,283 to $2,363, with the potential for shifts that optimize your schedule and earnings. The assignment includes a generous bonus structure designed to recognize excellent performance, plus housing assistance to ease relocation and daily living costs. There are extension opportunities tied to your performance and hospital needs, giving you a clear pathway to longer‑term engagements if you choose. Comprehensive support for travel, housing, and day‑to‑day needs is available with 24/7 assistance from a dedicated team while you’re on assignment. You’ll have access to a stable network of professionals, ongoing education credits, and resources to help you maintain work‑life balance in unfamiliar environments.
