About this Role Capital Dynamics is looking for a skilled Senior Asset Manager to join their Clean Energy Investments team in Chicago. The main focus of this position is to manage operations for the firm’s US portfolio of clean energy investments, which includes solar PV, wind, and BESS projects. As the Senior Asset Manager, you will ensure all third-party asset managers deliver high-quality services and that optimal performance is maintained across all projects. This role also involves liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate operational improvements and financial optimizations within the portfolio.
Responsibilities
Oversight of third-party asset management service delivery.
Lead tendering, selection, and contracting of third-party asset management services.
Review and propose changes to the services provided by third-party asset managers.
Ensure consistent application of Capital Dynamics and Clean Energy procedures and controls.
Oversee technical and financial performance of assets to optimize performance.
Collaborate with asset managers, Capital Dynamics investment, and portfolio management teams for optimization opportunities.
Monitor market and regulatory changes and analyze impacts on portfolio investments.
Manage capital and income cash flows within projects in collaboration with third-party asset managers and fund administrators.
Ensure compliance with financing agreements, regulations, and fund documentation.
Support fund holding structure optimization and coordinate with external advisors for post-exit liquidation processes.
Review reporting prepared by third-party asset managers, including lender reporting.
Provide inputs to valuation teams and coordinate quarterly valuation processes and reporting.
Assist in exit and new acquisition transactions, including data room management and Q&A preparation.
Requirements
Degree in engineering, renewable energy, business, finance, or responsible investment.
Excellent understanding of renewable energy plants and related infrastructure.
Good financial understanding of clean energy projects, including financing structures.
Strong ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Fluency in English with superior writing skills.
