Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to individuals in designated units, maintaining acute medical issues for the facility in the absence of the Nurse Supervisor.
Manage medications and procedures according to pharmacy and nursing procedure guidelines.
Actively document and participate in rehabilitation programs of individuals.
Function as the health care coordinator of assigned units with responsibilities outlined in the Health Care Guidelines.
Assist in planning and providing nursing care with responsibility for the assessment of nursing needs and initiation of nursing interventions according to all licensing and certification requirements.
Provide guidance and develop nursing staff to ensure quality activity, care, and treatment for all individuals.
Assess needs of individuals, identify symptoms of physical or emotional illness, formulate and execute a plan of care, and evaluate outcomes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team on the integration of nursing care plan in the Individual Support Plan (ISP).
Perform clinical skills in a competent manner and ensure a clean and safe environment.
Provide training and act as a resource for nursing staff.
Perform and participate in activities as otherwise assigned by the Nurse Supervisor.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina.
Knowledge of nursing practices, medical and nursing terminology.
Ability to adhere to standing orders, policies and procedures.
Ability to plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
Ability to establish and maintain the confidence and cooperation of patients.
Ability to interact with patients in a culturally competent, professional manner.
Ability to prepare educational and training materials for nursing care programs.
Knowledge of administrative methods and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to appropriately respond to emergency situations.
Ability to function as a team member.
Ability to instruct, supervise and direct the work of paraprofessional staff.
Salary and Benefits Salary range: $77,500 to $85,543. Up to $6.25/hour differential for applicable shifts. Sign‑on bonus for eligible candidates distributed after 1, 6, and 12 months of successful continuous full‑time employment.
