How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare RN Opportunity with Inpatient Physical Rehab at Carilion Roanoke Community Hospital (CRCH) in Roanoke, VA.
$20K Sign On Bonus available for experienced RNs, $10K for new grad RNs.
As a registered nurse, you are expected to consistently deliver best care & customer service, demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter. As part of the team, RNs are accountable for nursing coordination and individualized care, utilizing delegation and critical thinking skills for high quality service through a collaborative approach.
Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to achieve optimum outcomes for patients of all ages.
Complete age‑specific admission and ongoing assessments, document, and develop plans of care.
Collaborate with healthcare team, patient/family to develop, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary plans; revise based on status changes.
Accurately administer treatments and medications, documenting via automated systems including EMR.
Identify and address patient/family educational needs; incorporate into care plans and implement appropriately.
Contribute to Carilion Clinic’s performance improvement activities.
Act as patient advocate, protect patient rights, provide psychosocial support.
Apply knowledge of growth & development to care for this population.
Operate within clinical, leadership, or education pathways to support evidence‑based care and improvement.
Demonstrate clinical expertise in rapidly changing circumstances.
Plan strategies to reduce length of stay, turnaround time, resource consumption, and improve outcomes.
Serve as role model for practice; manage resources, set priorities, modify environment to meet needs.
Complete manager/director‑specified projects within time frames and guidelines.
Use problem‑solving to resolve patient and personnel situations.
Assist in orientation of new employees.
Provide feedback to staff using appropriate communication and documentation.
Participate in unit, hospital, system activities to facilitate staff input in decision making.
Assist with educational activities for the unit/department.
What We Require
Education:
Graduate of professional nursing school of an accredited college or approved program eligible for VA licensure exam.
Licensure/Certification:
Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain VA RN licensure.
Life Support:
AHA BLS‑HCP required; may need BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP per unit.
Other:
Computer skills required for electronic medical records (EPIC).
