General Summary & Scope The Arch Expert (AE) is responsible for maximizing sales in the Benefit brand by engaging guests to determine their individual needs, assisting guests in the selection and purchase of merchandise, and performing short services including eyebrow/facial waxing and tinting. The role supports the Experience Manager (EM) through performance, people, and process objectives.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities Performance
Meet or exceed Benefit brand sales and service goals and contribute to store goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni‑channel, and retail shrink.
Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing, and recommending complementary products.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
Execute short services at the Brow Bar: eyebrow/facial waxing, tweezing, tinting, strip lash applications, and threading.
Use the appointment book or system to schedule guests for services and events.
Meet average sales per labor hour and sales‑to‑service ratio goals.
Stay informed on industry trends, products, and services to better serve guests.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
People
Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
Participate in Benefit and Ulta Beauty training to drive professional development and sales performance.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships and an active clientele portfolio.
Maintain relationships with Benefit brand partners through required trainings and in‑store events.
Create partnerships with Prestige consultants and salon professionals.
Share benefits of the loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app with guests.
Collaborate with managers and associates to grow the business.
Process
Know and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygienic procedures.
Adhere to the dress code, including wearing brand assets.
Keep the Brow Bar replenished, signed, faced, and maintain testers.
Communicate supply needs to store management and brand reps.
Maintain outstanding store operational standards.
Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing.
Protect company assets via loss prevention best practices.
Execute other operational tasks as directed.
Job Qualifications Education
High school diploma preferred.
Cosmetology or esthetics license where required by state law.
Experience
Experience in makeup application; eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, and tinting preferred.
Proficiency with equipment needed for technical work.
Skills
Significant competency in sales, products, and service.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle guest concerns, prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication skills.
Special Position Requirements
Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Attend brand‑sponsored trainings.
Working Conditions
Continuous mobility, standing, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, reaching, bending, twisting during shift.
Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs.; ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects.
