ER RN Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room Registered Nurse experience
Active Georgia or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
Proficiency with Epic EMR, Pyxis medication management, and SBAR communication preferred
Clinical expertise in triage, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, procedural sedation, and ventilator care
Ability to provide care for neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients
Full compliance with onboarding and orientation requirements
Ability to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays
Two supervisory references (Manager or above) highly preferred
ER RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations
Perform triage, assessment, and ongoing evaluation in a busy ER setting
Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor patients under continuous sedation
Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; provide procedural sedation as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
Document patient care and interventions accurately using Epic EMR and SBAR tools
Participate in rapid response and code situations
Float to other nursing units as needed and adapt to changing patient needs
