Phlebotomist II Part-Time – Quest Diagnostics
Location:
Mauldin, SC
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM; Saturday 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Pay Range:
$19.32+ per hour
Job Description This part‑time phlebotomy position requires proficiency in specimen collection and patient interaction. Duties include specimen handling, data entry, and maintaining phlebotomy logs.

Responsibilities
Collect specimens per established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams)
Administer oral solutions per training
Verify written and electronic orders using lab technology systems and approved tools
Navigate computer and accurately enter data
Obtain identification and enter billing info, collect payments as required
Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport
Perform non‑patient‑facing duties: inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, using email
Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required
Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance logs, temperature logs) timely and per schedule
Complete online and in‑person training courses on time
Qualifications
Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
Keyboard/data entry experience
Flexible and available based on staffing needs (weekends, holidays, on‑call, overtime)
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)
The position requires effective communication in English.
