Coordinator Clinical Support - Outpatient Cardiology Clinic Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking a Coordinator of Clinical Support for its Cardiology Clinic in the Texas Medical Center. The role involves providing patient care and excellent customer service while coordinating clinic flow, provider schedules, and patient appointments in a fast‑paced environment. All successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate positive interpersonal and communication skills, welcoming and interacting with patients, families, and visitors in a professional, timely, age‑appropriate, and culturally sensitive manner.

Coordinate daily appointments, interview, and interact with patients, families, and visitors as needed for successful appointment flow.

Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient patient flow and consistent patient satisfaction.

Participate in care coordination functions.

Prioritise incoming phone calls regarding patient care and urgent appointments.

Schedule, confirm same‑day and walk‑in appointments, and remind families of insurance responsibilities.

Prioritise patients for rooming based on appointment and arrival times and other clinic procedures.

Notify providers when the first clinic session patient has been roomed.

Attend staff meetings, sign attendance records, and complete mandatory training and development activities as required by supervisory observation and written or verbal feedback.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.

At least 2 years of indirect patient care experience.
