The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the day‑to‑day operational duties associated with the dispensing of prescription medication to meet the needs of a long‑term/post‑acute care pharmacy. The Staff Pharmacist must adhere to the company’s quality and customer service standards, policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal guidelines. Overnight (10 pm‑8:30 aqm) 7 on 7 off. Responsibilities
Verification of completeness and accuracy of all new and refill labels and orders, including emergency drug kits and IV medications. Maintain resident database with current medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including OTC and home remedies). Assist in ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of all controlled substances; maintain a perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs. Work with appropriate pharmacy technician to reconcile controlled substance perpetual inventory for compliance with state and federal regulations. Provide clinical expertise by responding to drug‑related questions and concerns from internal staff and external customers. Document all communication with physicians, nurses, other healthcare team members, and patients/residents and their families in the medical record. Prepare and/or supervise all sterile IV drug products or solutions. Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during rotation and as required by management. Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA. Other duties as assigned; duties may vary depending on business needs. Qualifications
Current pharmacist license active and in good standing in the state of practice. Experience in an acute‑care setting or production pharmacist preferred. Bachelor’s degree or Pharmacy Doctorate from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Excellent interpersonal skills and well‑developed verbal and written communication skills in English. Strong organizational, customer service, and time‑management skills; ability to problem‑solve and work under pressure with multiple tasks. Experience using FrameworkLTC, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Benefits
