Under general supervision of the department manager, medical staff, nursing staff, and Sr Medical Assistant/Lead Medical Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and clerical support, including patient rooming, assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, chart preparation, and obtaining referral notes, images, and lab results prior to patient visits. Responsibilities
Provide clinical support such as patient rooming and assistance with medical procedures. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment. Prepare charts and obtain referral notes, images, and lab results prior to patient visits. Perform clerical duties essential to the operation of the practice, including answering phones, greeting patients, filing, faxing, and scanning documents. Demonstrate ability to prepare for and assist with various medical procedures. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED – Required Certified Medical Assistant (Clinical) or Registered Medical Assistant or MA-ARMA Basic Life Support (BLS) Minimum of 3 months of experience in a healthcare setting Demonstrates understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures Proficient in using electronic health record systems for documentation and retrieval of patient information Additional Information
