Job Summary As the Surgical Technologist, you will be an active member of the team in the Operating Room. You will function under the direct supervision of the OR nurse and be responsible for the sterile field, instrumentation, sterile technique, and other tasks required during the procedure.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
Promote customer service initiatives.
Function as a scrub person during operative procedures.
Demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures.
Assist in the intra‑operative care of the patient by performing technical duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Certified as a Surgical Technologist through NBSTSA – REQUIRED.
1‑2 years of general surgery experience preferred.
Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients, relatives, physicians, managers and other employees.
