About the Clinic Shape Health, in partnership with WellnessMedX, is a patient-centered functional medicine clinic dedicated to addressing the root causes of chronic disease. We specialize in medically supervised weight loss, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), regenerative medicine, autoimmune disease management, and gut health optimization. Our approach integrates evidence-based conventional medicine with functional and integrative therapies to deliver personalized, whole-person care.
Although a bonus, we don’t require the applicant to be experienced, as we will provide training and necessary knowledge transfer for the role.
Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Nurse Practitioner with a strong interest or background in functional and integrative medicine. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, science-driven, and passionate about helping individuals achieve optimal health through personalized treatment plans and lifestyle-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history, physical exams, and functional medicine assessments
Diagnose and manage patients with conditions related to: Weight management and metabolic health
Hormone imbalances (including bioidentical HRT for men and women, as permitted by state law)
Autoimmune and inflammatory conditions
Gastrointestinal and gut health disorders
Chronic fatigue, metabolic syndrome, and related conditions
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans incorporating: Lifestyle and nutrition counseling
Supplement protocols (as appropriate)
Medications and therapies within the scope of practice
Regenerative medicine therapies (e.g., PRP, peptide therapies, or other clinic offerings, with training provided if needed)
Order, interpret, and act on advanced and conventional laboratory testing
Educate patients on treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and long-term health strategies
Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on outcomes and lab data
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation
Collaborate closely with physicians, health coaches, and other clinical staff
Stay current with emerging research in functional and integrative medicine
Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
Strong interest in functional, integrative, or root-cause medicine
Experience or willingness to be trained in weight loss medicine, hormone optimization, and regenerative medicine therapies
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Comfortable practicing in a cash-based or hybrid care model (if applicable)
Camera-friendly and willing to shoot short videos for marketing purposes.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
Functional medicine training or certification (e.g., IFM, A4M, or similar) is a plus
Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving skills
Passion for patient education and preventive care
Ability to build long‑term therapeutic relationships with patients
Team‑oriented mindset with a high level of professionalism
