Job Summary Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse II provides individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients at the competent level utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process; delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
Responsibilities
Deliver individualized, goal-directed patient care to families and patients.
Utilize principles and practices of the nursing process.
Deliver safe and effective care and interact with the healthcare team.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred; RN staff hired after July 1, 2013 with Associate or Diploma required to enroll in accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years.
Minimum one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors, outside temperature extremes, elevated areas, confined spaces, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, pinching, gross motor, fine manipulation, reach overhead, repetitive motions, lift and carry 50 lbs unassisted, lift lower objects 50 lbs from/to floor 36 inches unassisted, lift from 36" to overhead 25 lbs, exert up to 50 lbs of force, maintain 20/40 vision, etc.
