Overview
Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center located in Woodbridge, VA, is hiring a
Patient Access Supervisor
for Full Time Night shifts in the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities The supervisor for Patient Registration and/or Patient Financial Services is responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more areas, supervising staff, coordinating quality and customer service activities, assisting in the development and monitoring of the department budget, coordinating the purchasing and payroll processes, serving as a technical resource to team members, and performing work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and developing staff with the goal of developing a highly effective work team, and serving as the chief retention officer for areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (Required). Equivalent experience in Registration may be considered.
Certification/Licensure:
Certified Healthcare Access Manager (CHAM) or Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) obtained within 12 months of hire (Required).
Experience:
Healthcare experience – 1 year (Required).
