Registered Nurse I (Spring 2026 New Grad Blitz) - ART Endoscopy

Job Description Summary Endoscopy is a procedural department that serves both inpatient and outpatient procedures. We offer a wide variety of GI procedures, both general and therapeutic procedures, as well as motility specialty procedures, supporting adult, and occasional pediatric patients. Procedures provided by the unit include, but are not limited to: screening colonoscopy, EGD, dilation for strictures, feeding tube placement, ERCP, ESWL, POEM, and EUS. Endoscopy also includes two prep and recovery units, composed of 23 P/R bays. The general and therapeutic RNs take call, supporting urgent and emergent endoscopy procedures, and have a team of GI Techs that reprocess the endoscopes with a high level disinfection process. We mostly operate Monday‑Friday 8‑am‑5‑pm, with the call team supporting the urgent cases outside of normal business hours.

Job Summary / Purpose Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse I (New Graduate) assists at the advanced beginner level in providing individualized, goal‑directed nursing care to patients and families utilizing principles and practices of the nursing process; interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired outcomes.
Minimum Training and Education Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred. RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.
Required Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Physical and Mental Requirements Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking (continuous), climbing stairs (infrequent), working indoors (continuous), outside in temperature extremes (infrequent), from elevated areas (frequent), in confined/cramped spaces (frequent), kneeling positions (infrequent), bending and twisting at the waist (continuous), squatting (frequent), pinching operations (frequent), gross motor activities with fingers and hands (continuous), firm grasping (continuous), fine manipulation (continuous), reaching overhead (frequent), repetitive motions (continuous), balance and coordination with lower extremities (continuous), reaching in all directions (continuous), lifting and carrying 50 lbs unassisted (infrequent), lifting/lowering objects 50 lbs from the floor (infrequent), lifting from 36” to overhead 25 lbs (infrequent), exerting up to 50 lbs of force (frequent), vision, hearing, and sensory functions (various continuous/frequent statuses), ability to work rotating shifts (frequent), overtime (frequent), latex safe environment (continuous), respirator use (selected positions).
