A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in upstate New York, serving primarily elementary students with some high school students included. This contract position runs for the 2025-2026 school year, from September to June, providing the chance to support speech and language development in a dynamic educational environment.

Responsibilities include managing a caseload of approximately 28 students with diverse speech and language needs. Key duties involve conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized therapy plans, and delivering direct therapy tailored to each student. Collaboration is essential; you will work closely with teachers, staff, and families to implement accommodations and modifications, monitor student progress, and participate actively in IEP meetings. Providing guidance to parents and caregivers is also a vital part of this role.

Qualifications

Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Valid state SLP license or eligibility to obtain one

Experience working with school-aged children preferred

Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively

Knowledge of IEP processes and educational laws

Location: Syracuse, NY area, serving a K-12 school community.
