Position Summary The Department of Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor. Primary responsibilities include innovative teaching in our biochemistry curriculum and in our first-year program. We seek candidates who will develop engaging, evidence-based teaching programs that support the success of all students, and who will excel in cooperative teaching of large-enrollment undergraduate courses. It is part of our institutional mission to teach and engage a community of students with a broad range of backgrounds.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Molecular Biology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience We seek candidates who will develop engaging, evidence-based teaching programs that support the success of all students, and who will excel in creative and cooperative teaching of large-enrollment undergraduate courses. We seek to teach and engage a community of students with a broad range of backgrounds and especially welcome applications from candidates who are committed to advancing these goals.
