Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a licensed PT, assist with the implementation of the therapy plan of care.
Delegate and direct supportive personnel for assigned patients to enhance patient care services.
Communicate with supervising PT regarding scheduled patients to identify assessment or reassessment needs, modify treatment plans, and enact interventions requiring therapist direction.
Participate in education of patients, families, students, coworkers, and self.
Perform other professional duties associated with patient care within the scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Certified BLS or completion within first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of relevant experience.
