Behavioral Health Clinician (I or II) - Family Medicine, Supervision Available
Join MaineHealth in providing holistic care as a Behavioral Health Clinician in our Sanford Family Medicine practice. This part‑time position (20 hours/week, day shift) offers benefits and up to a $10,000 sign‑on bonus for all eligible candidates.
Description As an integrated clinician, you will conduct screening, assessments, and brief treatments. Treatments include individual, family, and group work, curbside consultations for providers, service referrals, and participation in population health activities. Collaboration with psychiatrists and other integrated clinicians is essential, with individual and group supervision, psychiatry consultations, and quarterly trainings provided.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide direct care via individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
Maintain clinical records, collaborate with community providers, and participate in team meetings for effective treatment and discharge planning.
Provide curbside consultation to providers and link patients to additional services and supports.
Participate in population health activities targeting specific groups.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, Addiction Treatment, or related field.
Required licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker – Clinical Conditional (LMSW‑CC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor – Conditional (LCPC‑c), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist – Conditional (LMFT‑c). Candidates with conditional licensure within months of independent licensure will be considered.
Level I: Behavioral health experience, including internship, prior to becoming a conditionally licensed clinician.
Level II: At least two years of behavioral health experience, including employment as a conditionally licensed clinician.
Comfortable working with all age groups; knowledge of substance use disorder treatment preferred.
