R&D Laboratory Technician at Omega Bio‑tek
Omega Bio‑tek, a leader in nucleic acid purification technologies, is looking for an analytical, detail‑oriented Research & Development Lab Technician to join our team.
What you will do:
Assist in magnetic bead‑based development by applying basic chemistry knowledge, particularly in chemical synthesis methods.
Play a key role in laboratory functions such as DNA extraction, RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, capillary sequencing, and Next‑Generation Sequencing.
Generate clear and concise technical reports.
Execute experimental strategy developed by manager and senior laboratory personnel.
Work with senior laboratory personnel to review progress and present results.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, maintenance, and safety per SOPs.
Revise and update SOPs as needed.
Follow established company SOP and ISO 9001 guidelines.
What you will need:
BS or MS degree in a life science area; chemistry background preferred.
2+ years of previous synthetic chemistry or molecular biology laboratory experience or equivalent.
Experience or knowledge of workflows with DNA & RNA extraction.
Able to obtain half‑face respirator certification upon hire.
Ability to lift 30 lbs.
